Village Events
 
 
The 2010 Plan NH Charrette discussed existing Village-centered events and the need for more events to be created to bring more people into the Village; events such as farmers' markets and flea markets,
 
Belmont Mill-Staff
Deck The Village - First coordinated in 2008, this annual Christmas season event brings community members together to creatively decorate and prepare the Village for the Holiday Season. The event includes both indoor and outdoor activities for all ages.
OHD-2001-Staff Old Home Day - For over 100 years Old Home Day has been an annual event; now with day-long and evening festivites throughout the Village.
Weeks Farm-2001-K.Knowlton Programs - A 2008 production of an educational program for LRPA-TV featuring local agricultural heritage at the Weeks Farm located in the Village.
Daffodil-File "Make A Difference Day" - 2008 was Belmont's premiere participation in the Nation's largest day of volunteering.  This now annual community effort has included planting over 4,000 spring-blooming daffodils in special community places including Sargent Park, the Library, Mill, Penstock Park, Corner Meeting House and Veterans' Monument.
Belmont Bandstand-Staff Bandstand Centennial a Day to Remember in Belmont.  In 2009 the community celebrated this historic landmark with Councilor Ray Burton commenting that the historic Bandstand "is a reminder of community care and heritage...in its setting near the Tioga River and the Belmont Mill, it remains a symbol of identity and pride in the very fabric of your Town". 2011 Winners-WinnisquamEcho

Cruisin' the Village - The first annual Cruisin' the Village event was held in 2011.  The day combines classic cars, great food, music, prizes, giveaways, raffles and trophies. Cruisin' Website.
Heritage Awards 2011-Winnisquam Echo Community Heritage Excellence Awards - The first annual Community Heritage Awards were presented in 2011.  Village projects have included Private Residence Renovation Excellence, Penstock Park and the Food For Thought Cafe in the Mill.
File Photo Memorial Day Celebration - The Charles Kilborn Post #58 of the American Legion hosts the annual Memorial Day ceremony.
