The "Factory Village District" was depicted in a 2003 New Hampshire Division of Historical Resources (NH DHR) Determination of Eligibility Study for the N.H. Department of Transportation Route 140 project.  Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1996 requires that for all Federally Funded projects due consideration of historical resources be considered.
